Before you call an electrician
Does electrical work need a permit?
Many electrical projects in Washington require a permit and inspection, including panel upgrades, new circuits, service changes, rewiring, and new construction. We’ll determine what’s required for your project, obtain the necessary permits when applicable, and ensure all work is completed to current code.
How do I know if my panel needs replacing?
Frequent breaker trips, an outdated panel, limited circuit space, flickering lights, or signs of overheating can all indicate that your panel may need attention. If you’re planning to add an EV charger, hot tub, heat pump, or other major electrical equipment, your panel may also require an upgrade.
Can my existing panel handle an EV charger?
In many cases, yes — but it depends on your home’s electrical capacity and the available space in your panel. Our licensed electricians will evaluate your electrical system to determine whether your existing panel can safely support a Level 2 EV charger or if a panel upgrade is recommended.
